We were created to receive love from God, to enjoy and bask in it. We are to give love back to God lavishly, as well as to the world around us. God designed us for relationship with Himself for warm, tender, loving, open fellowship. Anytime this is missing or hindered in any way, we will suffer.
The worst thing we can do when we encounter disappointments and tragedies is to blame the trouble on God. God wants to help us! He is not the troublemaker- the devil is. It is the world, the flesh, and the devil that give us trouble not God!
That is not to say that God will never lead us in a way that we would rather not go- because He does. The Israelites would have preferred a shorter route to the Promised Land. But God had a purpose in the way He led. (Exodus 13:17-18) says, “When Pharoah let the people go, God led them not by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was nearer; for God said, lest the people change their purpose when they see war and return to Egypt. But God led the people around by way of the wilderness toward the Red Sea. And the Israelites went up marshaled out of the land of Egypt”.
God knows what is best for us. There are times when we feel, think, or desire a certain path. We are tempted to get angry with Him when He leads us a different way. When we feel disappointment with life, people, or with circumstances, it can develop into disappointment with God. This is exactly what the devil wants! If you are angry with God, bitter or resentful toward Him, He is giving you an opportunity as you read this article to be delivered from the trap that Satan has set for you. God is your helper- not your enemy.
